Basic Document Requirements for a Ghana Visa

1. Passport

• Original passport with at least six months validity beyond the intended stay.
• Minimum two blank pages for visa stamping.
• Attach all old passports (if any).

2. Visa Application Form

• A duly filled and signed Ghana visa application form.
• Must be completed online or in print, depending on the visa type.

3. Photograph

• Two recent passport-size color photographs (Size: 35mm x 45mm).
• White background, matte or glossy finish, and no border.

4. Covering Letter

• A signed letter from the applicant stating:
  • Purpose of travel, duration of stay, and financial responsibility.
  • Addressed to The Visa Officer, Embassy of Ghana.
• Self-employed applicants: Letter on company letterhead.
• Employed applicants: Letter on plain paper with employer details.

5. Travel Itinerary & Accommodation

• Confirmed round-trip flight tickets.
• Hotel booking confirmation or accommodation details from the host.

6. Financial Proof

• Bank statement for the last 6 months showing sufficient funds.
• Income tax returns (ITR) for the last 3 years.
• Salary slips (if employed) or business financials (if self-employed).

7. Employment/Business Proof

• Salaried applicants: NOC from employer, salary slips, and employment letter.
• Self-employed applicants: Business registration proof, GST certificate, and financial documents.
• Students: Bonafide certificate from the educational institution.

8. Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate

• A mandatory Yellow Fever vaccination certificate is required for entry into Ghana.

9. Invitation Letter (if applicable)

• If visiting family or friends, a sponsorship/invitation letter from the host in Ghana.
• Should include host’s details, applicant’s details, purpose of visit, and proof of relationship.

10. Additional Documents (if applicable)

• Marriage certificate (if traveling with spouse).
• Child’s birth certificate (if traveling with a minor).
